Tung
Tung Or Kathingad, a fortified post fort located on top of a hill of height 1073 mtrs is located near Lonavala, in the Pune district of Maharashtra.A small fort , not capable of holding a garrison of more than 200 troops, not capable of withstanding a siege of any significant duration, and whos main function was to act as a screen to the main or secondary fort, and to increase the range of reconnaissance, patrolling and communications. More like a watch tower.
How To Go:-

• From Lonavala:-
From Lonavala station catch a bus for Bhamburde or Ambavne. Get down at Ghusalkhamb. From ghusalkhamb you can reach tungvadi within 1.5 hrs by walking. Distance from ghusalkham to tungvadi is around 7 kms. This route is preferred by people who is coming from Mumbai side.
• From Kamshet:-
  From kamshet station you can catch the kamshet morve bus to reach at tungavadi. These bus is going via Tikona peth. But these route is preferred by people coming from pune side.
  If plan of tung Tikona trek is together then you can get the launch from Bramhnoli village near to Tikona peth and reach to kevre gaon. From kevre gaon u can reach to tungvadi within 25 mints by walking.
  
  

Facsinating Spots:-

Top Of The Fort is very small.On Fort you will find Temple of Tung Devi & Ganpati.This Fort is Used to keep an eye on Bor Ghat & Neighbouring regions.

water is available near temple or in the village

One have to do their own Arrangement Of Food.

There is no accomodation facility on fort.
