Lohagad is one of the important fort in Pune region.
This fort is famous fort its 'Vinchukata Machi'.this fort is surrounded by Visapur,Tung & Tikona Fort.

How To Go:-
  • From Lonavala:-
  • From Lonavala one should reach to Malavali,a station next to Lonavala by Lonavala-Pune Local Train.From Malavali Station a Simple walk Of 2 hrs. Take you to the Base of Lohagad That is Lohagadwadi.From here you will need half an hour to climb fort.

Facsinating Spots:-

Lohagad is one of the many hill forts of Chatrapati Shivaji.t divides the basins of the Indrayani and Pavna and is situated on a side range of the Sahyadris. The Visapur fort is located on its eastern side. The four large gates of Lohagad are still in good condition and reasonably intact. Historical records show that in the later Peshwa period, Nana Phadnavis built several structures in the fort such as a big tank and a step-well.After entering the Maha Darwaaja we come across an old 'Dargah'. Besides the Dargah we come across the remnants of the court. Going towards right we come across 'Laxmi Kothi'. It is a big cave where 50 people can stay. The Kothi has many rooms. On Lohgad Laxmi Kothi is the only place for us to stay.On the west side, there is a long and narrow wall-like fortified spur called Vinchukata because of its shape.

One have to do their own Arrangement Of Food.or food can be arranged in Lohagadwadi.

50 people can stay In Laxmi Kothi.
