Karnala
Karnala Fort lies between pancel & Pen.At the bottom of the fort is the bird sanctuary. Karnala is 120 k.m. away from Pune and 13 k.m. away from Panvel. Bird sanctuary is around 25 meters high from the sea level , while the fort itself is 370 meters from the sea level. Karnala fort is a good simple trekking place for people in Mumbai, as it is very close from the main city.

How To Go:-

• From Panvel:-
To Reach Karnala first you have to reach Panvel which is easily accessible by train or bus from mumbai.
From panvel you will get a rikshaw upto karnala or by S.T bus you can go to karnala.
All buses which goes from Bombay-Goa Highway can Drop you at Karnala.

In The Forest Of Karnala Bird Sanctury has been developed;thats why most of Nature lovers visit karnala.Karnala is Famous in Climbers For its pinnacle.Most of Trekkers climb it with the help of Climbing Equipments i.e Rope,Harnes etc.Fortification of fort is still good in condition.
